Lakers, Lakers, Lakers…

Thursday, April 1st, 2010 by admin

What are you trying to do to the fans and your record? 2-3 on the roadie with uninspired basketball. Phil gives you 2 days off one in New Orleans and another in A-Town and you reward him with 2 loses.

I know you guys are awesome and have the ability to turn it off and on, but I think it is time to turn it back on. Don’t get me wrong Kobe is doing his thing and Pau shows up almost every night, Lamar will always rebounds the ball, but where are the rest of the guys. Ron the defense you played against Melo and the Nuggets was awesome. Can you teach the guys to do that every night or at least tomorrow night against Utah.

What the heck happened to the bench? On a bench note – Sasha can you swallow your pride and apologize, buy dinner or whatever you have to do to get back on the court and start shooting 3’s again. You are too old and suppose to be a professional that the tantrums and yelling need to stop and just start playing basketball again. Looks like Luke will be back on Sunday, cross your fingers, that he will be able to provide some stability off the bench and give the starters a rest.

One last rant. Fisher you are one of the coolest Lakers of all-time, and will always be the .4 guy, but can you please figure out a way to not shoot so poorly.

Alright for the good news. Tomorrow is a home game against Utah and the last time they played at Staples, the Lakers won by 24 and held Utah to 6 points in the 4th quarter. Utah is probably playing a bit better now than they were in December and the Lakers are playing a lot worse now than they were playing in December, but Utah has to remember how bad it tasted to score only 6 points in the 4th and will come in with doubt. The Lakers have to take it too them right away in the first quarter and not give Utah any hope, they must come out with killer instinct, for the fans, for the coaches and most of all for themselves.

The experts said the road trip was a test and the Lakers received a “D”, the real test will be how they react to almost failing and see if they come out and play with pride. Lakers go show them what you are made of.

Lakers take down Pacers

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 by Aaron

The Lakers stayed the course by beating the Pacers in Staples Center once again. The Pacers have not won in Los Angeles since 1999 and in fact have never won at Staples Center, amazing. Ron Ron was the story last night with 5 steals and he set the tone in the 3rd quarter. Pau had another great night with 16 rebounds and Jordan had a fantastic night off the bench.

So the upcoming road trip will be a nice test for the guys. On Thursday they play Miami, Dwayne Wade is back, which is huge for the Heat. Friday they play a tough Charlotte Bobcats team with Gerald Wallace, Boris Diaw, and just added Tyrus Thomas. As long as the guys continue their tenacious defense and are patient within the offense a victory should be theirs over the Bobcats. Then on Sunday is the big rematch against the Orlando Magic. The Magic of course have Dwight Howard, Superman II, Vinsanity, and a healthier Jamar Nelson, that will definitely be a game not too miss. If you want to attend the game in Orlando purchase tickets for Amway Arena.
