The Lakers will take on the Thunder in Oklahoma city tonight at 6:30 PST. This will be an interesting match up after the game Two scare. Will the Thunder be too hyped up before their home game and not be able to perform or will the Lakers come in with a relaxed attitude and get blown out. Yesterday on KLAC AM570 Vic the Brick predicted a Lakers lose by 20 points to the Thunder tonight. I thought that was quite a prediction from the Laker lover himself, but I am with Vic on this one. The Lakers will probably lose this one, maybe not by 20 points, but probably more by 10-12 points. The only way they will be able to prove both Vic and I wrong is if they are able to stop/limit Durant and Westbrook and figure out a way to get the ball to Bynum and Lamar needs to figure out how to baffle Ibaka. Kobe and Pau can not continue to combine for 64 points a night and expect them to win a Championship or much less a series.
Oh yeah there is the whole getting your shot blocked 17 times thing that needs to be addressed. One piece of advise “Head Fake” or “Shot Fake” try it once in a while and see what happens. The Thunder defenders will fly by you and then go to the basket.
Good luck to the Lakers and hopefully they will earn a split in Oklahoma.

The Los Angeles Dodgers start their first homestand of the year tomorrow against the Arizona Diamondbacks. With a big question about their pitching staff and some tough road loses.
Clayton Kershaw takes the mound for the Dodgers vs a good young pitcher for Arizona in Ian Kennedy. On a side note Ian Kennedy is a local guy who grew up in the Southern California area and then attended University of Southern California (USC), so we will root for him except in this case because he is pitching against the Dodgers. The hope for LA is Kershaw will be able to pitch into the 6 or 7 inning and give the bullpen some much needed rest. The D-Backs do not have the most potent offense, however they did put up 13 runs on Sunday in the fourth inning and have young players like Justin Upton and Stephen Drew that pose a threat.
What will Joe do with the offensive line-up tomorrow? Ronnie Belliard is tearing the cover off the ball and Casey Blake is also off to a pretty hot start, should Belliard move to second base ahead of Blake DeWitt. Since Ian Kennedy is a righty it would make since to start Blake who bats left handed, so what will Joe do to increase the offensive output.
Reports are Either’s ankle is feeling better which means he will get the start in right field tomorrow, giving Garrett Anderson and Reed Johnson their places back on the bench. High Fives go out to both who filled in admirably for Either and Ramirez. Looks like so far Ned has done a good job with those pick-ups.
Good luck to the Boys in Blue and if you need tickets for the homestand take a look here. Los Angeles Dodgers Tickets at Dodger Stadium

The Lakers stayed the course by beating the Pacers in Staples Center once again. The Pacers have not won in Los Angeles since 1999 and in fact have never won at Staples Center, amazing. Ron Ron was the story last night with 5 steals and he set the tone in the 3rd quarter. Pau had another great night with 16 rebounds and Jordan had a fantastic night off the bench.
So the upcoming road trip will be a nice test for the guys. On Thursday they play Miami, Dwayne Wade is back, which is huge for the Heat. Friday they play a tough Charlotte Bobcats team with Gerald Wallace, Boris Diaw, and just added Tyrus Thomas. As long as the guys continue their tenacious defense and are patient within the offense a victory should be theirs over the Bobcats. Then on Sunday is the big rematch against the Orlando Magic. The Magic of course have Dwight Howard, Superman II, Vinsanity, and a healthier Jamar Nelson, that will definitely be a game not too miss. If you want to attend the game in Orlando purchase tickets for Amway Arena.

It was an interesting Wednesday February 24 in the ciudad of Los Angeles. The Clippers beat the hated Detroit Pistons and the Lakers lost to once the best team in the NBA Dallas Mavericks.
.
.
So the Lakers played an okay game considering they played the night before but to be a Championship team you have to win the back-to-back road games. I am sure the Zen Master would agree. Lamar had a game high 21 points off the bench with 7 rebounds. Lamar mentioned that his usual pre-game ritual of working out before the game was changed out for a nap and a massage. I think Lamar should have advised all the Lakers to take a nap and get a massage before the game and they probably would have won. There is something about Lamar that you just love, that is what Khloe thought as well.
.
.
On another note Andrew Bynum had some interesting comments after the game about playing 8 vs. 5. Well Andrew I think you were right, how does a team rack up 4 personal fouls in the first three minutes of the quarter without a little help from player 6, 7, and 8. Chalk it up to playing in Dallas with Mark Cuban courtside. Just a piece of advise we would like to pass on to Andrew, via James Worthy, “You can think it but do not say it”.
.
.
That is acutally a piece of advise that can be used in everyone’s daily lives, well what do you know a little Zen from James Worthy, maybe we should call him Zen Student from now on.
.
.
On to the Clippers
All I can say is good for them to show up and fight hard and win against a Detroit team that has a worst record than the Clippers. Wow now that is something I never thought I would say the Clippers have a better record than the Pistons. Congratulations to Mike Dunleavy for putting together a better team than Joe Dumars, poor Detroit.
.
.
Rasual Butler, Drew Gooden and Chris Kaman were the stars of the night. Rasual had 16 points with most of those coming in the second half and Drew Gooden had 20 points and was 8-8 from the free throw line and Chris Kaman had 21 points and 15 rebounds, quite an all-star performance. Overall it was a good team game for the Clippers, anytime you hold your opponent under 100 points is a good team defensive game.
.
.
Well let’s see how the Lakers and Clippers fair on Friday when the Lakers host the 76ers at Staples Center Look for tickets for Fridays came and the Clippers travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns. Good luck to both.

Well the Clippers finally did it, the made the trade I was talking about yesterday. I was a bit surprised that they traded Camby to the Blazers because usually teams with in the same division do not make trades, but as we all know the Clippers are not normal. .
.
So what did the Clippers receive for Marcus — Guard Steve Blake, Forward Travis Outlaw and about $3 million in cash. Steve Blake will be a good back up point guard to Baron and Travis Outlaw will be a fine 6th man for the team. Travis needs to stay away from the injury bug which kept him out of the line up for Portland this year..
.
The Clippers also announced today that swingman Ricky Davis has been waived by the team to make room for the two new players.
.
.
Is this a good or bad thing for the Clippers. In my estimation financially it is probably a wash because all players involved have expiring contracts and with the Clippers really not headed to the playoffs it just gives Donald Sterling a better chance of breaking even this year. The other thing it will do is give the Clippers an opportunity to see what DeAndre Jordan can do as well as Al Thornton. Both players figure to get more minutes with Camby gone especially Jordan who I think can have a productive career in the NBA with his size and athleticism, he just needs more minutes to get a feel for the NBA pace..
.
I guess we will have to see what happens in Portland tonight!
