Fuerte Amador is located on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal. The port, which serves as a gateway to Panama City, is part of a causeway that links a marina, and two shopping and dining plazas to the small islands of Flamenco, Perico, Culebra and Naos.Other sites to see include the Miraflores Visitors Center and Casco Viejo. Casco Viejo was once surrounded by walls to protect the city from ruthless pirates, and some parts of the old fortifcation are still visible.
