Mazatlan, Mexico Cruise Port

Mazatlan has a bit of everything, an old-world, working class culture spiced up with a handful of historic sites plus a resort-y stretch of beach, complete with watering holes and tourist shops. After your ship docks in the commercial port, you will be transported to the cruise pier. From there, it's about a mile into the old part of the city, or a few miles to the Golden Zone beach area. Mazatlan is notorious for having more than its fair share of timeshare salespeople, who promise to show you the town if you sit through the sales presentation. If you want to spend the day at the beach, just grab a cab and head to Playa Sabalo. From there, you'll have access to the snorkeling and jet skiing. You might also want to see the Mazatlan Aquarium and the divers of Divers Point.
